Cyanotype

The cyanotype process was the first succesfull non silver based photographic process. It was invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842(4 years after the invention of photography). His neighbour Anna Atkins an English botanist used the process to record cyanotype photogram images of algae and she self published a book of them in 1843. I made this print earlier this year at a weekend workshop making prints for the Peppergreen Farm display. The workshop was run by Julie Millowick at Latrobe Uni. I would like more detail in the plant but you get what you get,no second chance!

Mick

Mick is your average real hard working aussie, work hard and party just as hard when needed.I remember visiting Mick one day and he said its a bit embarrassing when in the early morning on garbage collection day all you can hear is the sound of beer bottles falling in the truck!!!He has a new woman now and I'd say the garbo days are now a bit quieter. He a great and generous guy and also my brother inlaw.

Hope every dad had a good fathers day today,I did, missed my son & daughter who live away but.Went to a hot rod show in town and took some pics and I liked the advantage point to make a different pic of the Charing Cross area in Bendigo. The show was held in a dark undercover car park and not much in the way of cars to excite me.Enjoy the pics,I've included one of charing cross, some cool cars and a plant from a while back.
